La ville productive – Story of a mutation
The position of production within the city raises questions today. It would be necessary, in order to re-establish conscious consumption within our society, to restore production to center stage. The consumer society in which the contemporary individual evolves involves disastrous ecological and human impacts on the environment. But are humans really aware of the consequences of their decline in the dogma of consumerism? Consumption, inseparable from its complement, production, evolves throughout history, simultaneously with the ways of thinking and living adopted in society. These mutations, guided by the appearance of certain variables, ideological as well as technical, gradually modify the world of humans and their functioning.
